Once you start the "add account" flow from the Account Settings dialog (can be accessed via File > Account Settings.), it will automatically launch your default system web browser and you should be able to add the GitHub account. Lastly and hopefully to help others, when it comes to GitHub sign in and ignoring the first launch scenario that currently doesn't support it, you shouldn't need to change any setting as long as you are using the supported workflow. If you'd like to see the option to sign in with GitHub during first launch, please create a new feedback ticket for that suggestion as that's not something we are currently tracking. GitHub accounts currently can't license the product or support roaming settings, so we only offer the entry point to add GitHub accounts once the product is fully launched.
